The technological advantage of Hong Kong's 3D printing industry lies in the utilization of generative design to provide optimal design solutions. Generative design digitizes design elements and rapidly creates numerous potential design solutions through powerful computing platforms and software, feeding key data back to designers. This approach offers a greater capacity to explore alternative solutions compared to traditional design methods. The combination of 3D printing and generative design provides efficient, innovative, and personalized design and manufacturing solutions. By enhancing material utilization and accelerating design iterations, designers can create products with better performance and lower costs, driving the continuous development of the manufacturing industry.
This project is funded by the "Trade and Industrial Organization Support Fund" of the Trade and Industry Department. The project aims to support Hong Kong's 3D printing enterprises in deepening their expansion into high-value-added industry markets in mainland China (including automotive parts, consumer electronics, and medical supplies industries), and actively exploring high-value-added industries (medical supplies and dental industries) in Kazakhstan. By promoting technological advancement and market expansion, the project seeks to drive business development and technological innovation in the industry. In addition to strengthening its presence in the mainland market, the industry is actively seeking new overseas markets to capitalize on the rapid growth of the global manufacturing industry. Kazakhstan, in particular, offers a new platform for development. We leverage advanced technology and rich experience to further expand our influence in the mainland market and actively explore development opportunities in the Kazakhstan 3D printing market.
The Hong Kong 3D Printing Association will set up the "Hong Kong Pavilion" at "KAZDENTEXPO" in May 2025 and "Formnext + PM South China" in August 2025.
The theme of the Hong Kong Pavilion at KAZDENTEXPO will be 3D printing technology solutions applicable to the medical supplies and dental industries. The theme of the Hong Kong Pavilion at Formnext + PM South China will be 3D printing technology solutions for diversified high-value-added industries (including automotive parts, consumer electronics, and medical supplies industries). >

members of the association.
The purpose of the establishment of the Hong Kong 3D Printing Association is to promote 3D printing to different social classes in Hong Kong and to expand the beneficiary group of 3D printing in Hong Kong. The association is committed to promoting communication and 3D between
Print technology exchanges, and unite members of the association to create a good business environment. In addition, the Association isl determined to become a trusted partner of the Hong Kong 3D printing industry and assist members to expand local and international alliances.
Department in order to find different business opportunities. At the same time, the association will maintain good communication and cooperation with other local industry associations, professional organizations and government departments, and take the promotion of the development of 3D printing in Hong Kong as its own responsibility.
